ThirdnLong is an idea I've had for several years. I felt that the ability to transmit video and animation files over the Internet, combined with the popularity and easy accessibility of the Web, could be used to create a new type of "magazine", a Web-based publication with detailed articles augmented with multimedia. While I like the free exchanges that happen on Bulletin Boards, I am a strong believer that the structured approach of the "article" allows a coach a way to present his ideas in a clear and detailed manner. In that sense, this web site represents a first step.

Since this is not a true commercial venture, I have done most of the work on the site myself (and I am not a web-page designer). I would like to thank Michael Assante, who did some of the basic layout, Craig Goldsmith, who designed the logo and digitized the video clip, and Ali Shama, who arranged for domain hosting. Their input gave me the jump start I needed.

My original intention was to create a page that could possibly attract advertisers. I'm not sure how realistic that is, but I'd like to keep that as a goal, if only to cover the costs of a web host (storing video files on a server requires more space than most "free" sites permit) and to pay a small fee to contributors.
